21. Heedfulness is the Deathless path, heedlessness, the path to death. Those who are heedful do not die, heedless are like the dead.

21. Không phóng d§t, ð߶ng s¯ng,
Phóng d§t là ð߶ng chªt.
Không phóng d§t, không chªt,
Phóng d§t nhß chªt r°i.

22. The wise then, recognizing this as the distinction of heedfulness, pleased with the spheres of Nobles Ones, in heedfulness rejoice.

22. Biªt rõ sai bi®t ¤y,
Ng߶i trí không phóng d§t,
Hoan hÖ, không phóng d§t,
An vui hÕnh b§c Thánh.

23. They meditate persistently, constantly they firmly strive, the steadfast to Nibbana reach, the Unexcelled Secure from bonds.

23. Ng߶i h¢ng tu thi«n ð¸nh,
Th߶ng kiên trì tinh t¤n.
B§c trí hß·ng Niªt Bàn,
ÐÕt an t¸nh vô thßþng.

24. Assiduous and mindful, pure kamma making, considerate, restrained, by Dhamma living, and in heedfulness, for one such spreads reknown.

24. N² lñc, giæ chánh ni®m,
T¸nh hÕnh, hành th§n tr÷ng
Tñ ði«u, s¯ng theo pháp,
Ai s¯ng không phóng d§t,
Tiªng lành ngày tång trß·ng.

25. By energy and heedfulness, by taming and by self-control, the one who's wise should make as isle no flood can overwhelm.

25. N² lñc, không phóng d§t,
Tñ ði«u, khéo chª ngñ.
B§c trí xây hòn ðäo,
Nß¾c løt khó ng§p tràn.

26. Foolish folk of little wit in heedlessness indulge, the one who's wise guards heedfulness kin to the greatest wealth.

26. Chúng ngu si, thiªu trí,
Chuyên s¯ng ð¶i phóng d§t.
Ng߶i trí, không phóng d§t,
Nhß giæ tài sän quý.

27. Don't indulge in heedlessness! Don't come near to sexual joys! The heedful and contemplative attains abundant bliss.

27. Ch¾ s¯ng ð¶i phóng d§t,
Ch¾ mê say døc lÕc.
Không phóng d§t, thi«n ð¸nh,
ÐÕt ðßþc an lÕc l¾n.

28. When one who's wise does drive away heedlessness by heedfulness, having ascended wisdom's tower steadfast, one surveys the fools, griefless, views the grieving folk, as mountaineer does those below.

28. Ng߶i trí d©p phóng d§t,
V¾i hÕnh không phóng d§t,
Leo l¥u cao trí tu®,
Không s¥u, nhìn kh± s¥u,
B§c trí ðÑng núi cao,
Nhìn kë ngu, ð¤t b¢ng.

29. Among the heedless, heedful, among the sleepy, wide awake. As the swift horse outruns a hack so one of good wisdom wins.

29. Tinh c¥n giæa phóng d§t,
Tïnh thÑc giæa qu¥n mê.
Ng߶i trí nhß ngña phi,
Bö sau con ngña hèn.

30. Heedfulness is always praised, heedlessness is ever blamed. By heedfulness did Magha go to lordship of the gods.

ÐÕt ngôi v¸ Thiên chü.
Không phóng d§t, ðßþc khen ;
Phóng d§t, th߶ng b¸ trách.

31. The bhikkhu liking heedfulness, seeing fear in heedlessness, advances as a conflagration burning fetters great and small.

31. Vui thích không phóng d§t,
TÖ kheo sþ phóng d§t
Bß¾c t¾i nhß lØa h×ng,
Thiêu kiªt sØ l¾n nhö.

32. The bhikkhu liking heedfulness, seeing fear in heedlessness, never will he fall away, near is he to Nibbana.

32. Vui thích không phóng d§t,
TÖ kheo sþ phóng d§t,
Không th¬ b¸ th¯i ð÷a,
Nh¤t ð¸nh g¥n Niªt Bàn.
