FAQ
The list is for the VNese singles, professionals and students. (There are also some married people in it.) The focus is on issues relating to the VNese singles life. It is small and well focused on these kind of topics. It is very friendly and enjoyable... Flames, political or religious discussions are discouraged. The list admin will send out warning to author of posting that are deemed inappropriate, offensive and/or inflammatory. In general, three-warning-and-you-are-out applies. Occasionally, the list admin will intervene in a "discussion thread" and will issue "please take this discussion to private email". Those who refuse to comply to the request will be removed from the list immediately.
The mailing list works as followed:
To get your name ON the vn-singles mailing list
subscribe vn-singles your-email-address

To get your name OFF the vn-singles mailing list

The best way to find out about the mailing list is to just give it a try. If you find it uninterested, you can always unsubscribe (it is quick and painless). You might want to start your tryout period on Wednesday or Thursday because most posting tends to cluster around Friday, Monday and the weekend.
The main staple is Vietnamese love poems. Some are quite good. Sandwiched between the love poems are "joke of the day", "my sport team is better than yours", "my life sucks" postings. There are some gossips, mostly on Vietnamese entertainers; some Vietnamese cultural/social events announcements. Occasionally, there are some brave souls who declare they need a girlfriend, boyfriend, or any kind of friend ;-). I believe someone once tried to get the list to pitch in to do his homework. Every two or three weeks, there will be an earnest discussion on topics related to singles life. Some recent topics:
