San Jose - June 01, 1998. After two years of organizing successful and high quality concerts that raised the level of quality in the Vietnamese entertainment industry, VNHELP is proud to announce the third concert as our annual fund-raising event, "Mua Thu Cho Em 3". Taking place at the elegant Santa Clara Convention Center Theater, this year's concert will feature Vu Khanh, Thanh Ha, Thuy Duong, and Tu Cong Phung. Also featured are chamber music instruments by the Cung Mi band with pianist Ho Dang Long and violinist Vu Tru.
The primary reason for the concert is to raise funds to support the many VNHELP charity projects in Vietnam. Since 1991 VNHELP has conducted numerous self-help humanitarian projects in Vietnam, including providing scholarships for capable and needy students, assisting handicapped children in their basic needs, and providing vocational training to street children.
The format of VNHELP's concert has always stressed on quality first. Our live concert features a small number of artists who will sing many songs, thus allowing them to express their full musical range and talents. Since VNHELP's concert two years ago, the Vietnamese entertainment industry has been watching and adopting much of its style and format.
VNHELP has a group of uniquely experienced volunteers who work with the performers and technical staff to make sure that the whole event runs smoothly, on time, and enjoyable to all. VNHELP is known for its quality fund-raising concerts in the past. All our concerts, "Mua Thu Cho Em 2" in 1997, "Mua Thu Cho Em" in 1996, and "Dang Thai Son Classical Piano Concert" in 1994, were professionally organized and sold out. Here are some actual comments from the audience of our past concerts:
