DÕ ma, Thiên gi¾i này?
Ai khéo giäng Pháp cú,
Nhß ng߶i [1] khéo hái hoa?
45. one trained will comprehend this earth, the world of Yama, and the gods, one trained discerns the well-taught dhamma as one who's skilled selects a flower.
45. Hæu h÷c chinh phøc ð¤t,
DÕ ma, Thiên gi¾i này.
Hæu h÷c giäng Pháp cú,
Nhß ng߶i khéo hái hoa.
46. having known this froth-like body and awakening to its mirage nature, smashing Mara's flowered shafts unseen beyond the death-king go.
46. Biªt thân nhß b÷t nß¾c,
Ngµ thân là nhß huyn,
Bë tên hoa cüa Ma,
Vßþt t¥m m¡t Th¥n chªt
47. for one who has a clinging mind and gathers only pleasure-flowers, death does seize and carry away as great flood a sleeping village.
47. Ng߶i nh£t các loÕi hoa,
Ý ð¡m say, tham nhim,
B¸ Th¥n chªt mang ði,
Nhß løt trôi làng ngü.
48. for one of desires insatiate who gathers only pleasure-flowers, for one who has a clinging mind death the sovereign overpowers.
48. Ng߶i nh£t các loÕi hoa,
Ý ð¡m say, tham nhim,
Các døc chßa thöa mãn,
Ðã b¸ chªt chinh phøc.
49. just as a bee in a flower harming neither hue nor scent gathers nectar, flies away, so in towns a wise one fares.
49. Nhß ong ðªn v¾i hoa,
Không hÕi s¡c và hß½ng,
Che ch· hoa, l¤y nhøy.
B§c Thánh ði vào làng.
50. not others' opposition nor what they did or failed to do, but in oneself should be sought things done, things left undone.
50. Không nên nhìn l²i ng߶i,
Ng߶i làm hay không làm.
Nên nhìn tñ chính mình,
Có làm hay không làm.
51. just as a gorgeous blossom brilliant but unscented, so fruitless the well-spoken words of one who does not act.
51. Nhß bông hoa tß½i ð©p,
Có s¡c nhßng không hß½ng.
Cûng v§y, l¶i khéo nói,
Không làm, không kªt quä.
52. just as a gorgeous blossom, brilliant and sweet-scented, so fruitful the well-spoken words of one who acts as well.
52. Nhß bông hoa tß½i ð©p,
Có s¡c lÕi thêm hß½ng ;
Cûng v§y, l¶i khéo nói,
Có làm, có kªt quä.
53. as from a mass of flowers many a garland may be made, so by one born mortal should many good deeds be done.
53. Nhß t× mµt ð¯ng hoa,
Nhi«u tràng hoa ðßþc kªt.
Cûng v§y, thân sanh tØ,
Làm ðßþc nhi«u thi®n sñ.
54. the fragrance of flowers drifts with the wind as sandalwood, jasmine of lavender. the fragrance of the virtuous sweeps the wind, all pervasive is virtue of the good.

Tõa kh¡p m÷i phß½ng tr¶i.
55. sandalwood or lavender, lotus or the jasmine great, of these many fragrances virtue's fragrance is supreme.

Hoa sen, hoa vû quý.
Giæa nhæng hß½ng hoa ¤y,
Gi¾i hß½ng là vô thßþng.
56. faint is this fragrance of lavender and sandalwood, but fragrance of the virtuous soars sublime amongst the gods.
56. Ít giá tr¸ hß½ng này,
Hß½ng già la, chiên ðàn ;
Chï hß½ng ng߶i ðÑc hÕnh,
T¯i thßþng töa Thiên gi¾i.
57. of those with perfect virtue who dwell in heedfulness, freed by final Knowledge: mara cannot know their path.
57. Giæa ai có gi¾i hÕnh,
An trú không phóng d§t.
Chánh trí, ch½n giäi thoát,
Ác ma không th¤y ð߶ng.
58. as beside the highroad where rubbish in a pit is flung there flourishes the lotus bloom fragrant and the mind's delight.
58. Nhß giæa ð¯ng rác nh¾p,
Quång bö trên ð߶ng l¾n,
Ch² ¤y hoa sen n·,
Th½m sÕch, ð©p ý ng߶i.
59. so among rubbish-beings, common humans blind-become, the perfect Buddha's pupil outshines with wisdom bright.
59. Cûng v§y giæa qu¥n sanh,
Uª nhim, mù, phàm tøc,
Ю tØ b§c Chánh Giác,
Sáng ng¶i v¾i Tu® Tri.
